Thursday, August 26, 2010: 2:15 P.M:
Dow closes below 10,000
Tomorrow’s GDP revision will likely show growth for the U.S. economy for the second quarter grew at only a little above 1% instead of the 2.4% annualized rate initially reported last month. That will indicate the the economy is slowing and is likely already in a double-dip recession as I write this. I believe we will see, when we get the GDP number for the third quarter, that we are, in fact, already in recession, or very close to it....
